This free-flowing and easily soluble protein mixture forms a high-energy protein supplement for dogs in sport- or work-load. It is also suitable for dogs in recovery, dogs with a poor diet, bitches after birth, and sick dogs not to lose muscle mass. KVAP Nutrition - protein is designed for the creation of quality muscle mass in the training period, not only for racing sled dogs; its primary goal is to protect muscles from degradation,

KVAP Nutrition protein in bulk form can be added to the feed ration. It is possible to add it to the meat, or we can use the mixed protein mixture as a second feed ration or as a flavor to hydrate the dog. It is also very digestible as a porridge mixed in oil. The product is made from high-quality raw materials. It does not contain maltodextrin or other sugars; it does not contain gluten or lactose, which are common sources of allergens.

This protein mixture was developed on the initiative of Czech musher Zbyněk Hruška, who races in mid, long, and so-called "non-stop" races, where sled dogs give extreme performances and can often lose weight and lose muscle mass. The protein mixture was developed and tested on his dog sled in extreme conditions. At the same time, we have experience and positive feedback from mushers or other dog handlers who had a problem maintaining their dog's muscle mass during the season, whose older dogs were already eating less or recovering dogs after illness or surgery, or for bitches after birth.

  • Our protein mixture but only raw materials intended for intensive nutrition for carnivorous animals. The basis of the mix consists of four types of hydrolyzed proteins (hydrolysis - shortening of protein chains) from natural raw materials - fish and poultry liver. Proteins modified in this way have an exceptionally high digestibility and usability in a dog's body. They do not burden the dog's digestive system before or during exercise, such as endurance racing, and in case of illness, recovery, etc.

Characteristics:does not come from sources for human sports nutritionHydrolyzed proteins do not cause allergies!

Significance of individual raw materials:

Dried eggs: According to current knowledge, especially from Sweden, where musherism (working with sled dogs) is relatively widespread, dried eggs are not only a highly digestible and nutritious raw material for dogs but also significant support for their natural immunity during extensive exercise. They support the entire immune system against bacteria causing diarrhea, whooping cough, etc. They contain, among other things, a high proportion of eggs.

Lecithin. Eggs are among the raw materials with the most balanced content of nutritionally essential substances and at the same time with very high digestibility; speaking about the yolk, it is up to 100%. The main components of a dehydrated egg substance are proteins - proteins and lipids - fats. Proteins, which are much more biologically valuable than meat or milk proteins, are crucial. Their main source is egg white.

Hydrolyzed proteins: Liver, Sardine, Krill and fish protein. They are hydrolysis-modified proteins (shortening of protein chains to essential amino acid chains) from natural raw materials - fish and poultry liver. Hydrolyzed proteins do not cause any allergic reactions, as amino acid molecules are so small that the immune system does not recognize them, and the body does not respond to them, e.g., during a race.

Brewer's yeast: Highly digestible, natural source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Their high biological value is expressed predominantly by the content of vital amino acids, which the animal organism cannot synthesize, such as lysine, methionine, cysteine, leucine, valine, isoleucine, etc. The high biological value is also given by a very favorable content of B vitamins, especially thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), and pantothenic acid (B3), but also the content of minerals and trace elements - especially phosphorus, potassium, iron, copper and zinc.

Kelp - brown seaweed: A natural source of a large amount of highly usable minerals and vitamins, especially iodine, which is undoubtedly its most significant benefit in nutrition. It also significantly supports the body's natural immunity - it is a rich source of electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, potassium). It has potent antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiviral effects, which increase the body's regenerative ability. It supports the immune system and proper calcium metabolism and accelerates recovery after high physical activity. It supports the brain and brain function - a stimulant of brain function - increases the dog's desire to complete the race. Kelp is effective in detoxifying the body and eliminating toxins from the body.

Lecithin: Lecithin belongs to the so-called phospholipids, which are a component of the outer cell membranes of plants and animals. It contains a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids. It is an important component in fat metabolism and utilization, supports proper brain function, and prevents fat storage in the liver. An extensive physical performance supplies energy to the nervous and muscular systems and thus shortens the regeneration time - it has a significant effect on more efficient energy acquisition and helps manage stressful situations. Its deficiency leads to poor nervous system condition, nervousness, apathy from exhaustion, and fatigue.

Amino acids (AA):

BCAA: A vital component for protecting muscle fibers from breakdown and their use as energy sources. It is a mixture of three essential AAs: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine in a ratio of 2:1:1, which is ideal for mutual use of individual AAs. The need for BCAAs grows very significantly with the demands of physical performance. They are indispensable for the regeneration and recovery of muscles after their excessive workout load. It protects protein chains from breakdown into individual AAs and thus the muscle fibers. BCAA free amino acids are also crucial for regeneration by releasing the insulin hormone, which allows for more massive use of simple blood sugars (glucose).

L-Glutamine: The free, non-essential amino acid that occurs most frequently in muscles, up to over 60% of all AAs. It is the basic building block of protein. With a high load on the body, the need for Glutamine increases up to five times and can become an essential amino acid for the body as it can no longer supply it. Glutamine is often extremely necessary in stressful situations such as stress, illness, intense physical performance, infections in the body, any operations, etc. Its sufficient presence significantly improves the regeneration of muscle fibers, promotes blood sugar (glucose), and increases immunity. It is irreplaceable when removing ammonia from the body (a very toxic substance for the body and brain). It is also essential for functional and healthy intestinal cells that require it to a great extent. The rate of regeneration of the organism increases in the interaction of L-Glutamine with BCAA.

Taurine is an organic acid (amino sulfonic acid), sometimes mistaken for amino acids. It supports the nervous system's activity and optimizes blood circulation to the brain and the movement of the CNS. It accelerates the transfer of carbohydrates into muscle cells, stabilizes blood calcium levels, and improves fat digestion. Overall, taurine increases the speed of reactions and prepares the body for an increased workload. It strengthens the ability of muscle cells to use blood sugar. It supports the renewal of energy reserves, and thus accelerates regeneration. It strengthens the effects of branched-chain amino acids - BCAA, and thus alleviates muscle pain and muscle fiber damage caused by extensive physical performance.

Nitrogen oxide-producing AA (NO-Complex): It is a complete trio of active substances - free amino acids in the ratio 3:1:1: L-Arginine, L-Ornithine, and L-Citrulline, which, among other things, in synergy, produce important nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide is an effective "signaling molecule" that occurs throughout the body. NO penetrates cell membranes and sends biological signals regulating cellular activity and instructing the body to perform a specific function. Nitric oxide, among other things, significantly affects the blood supply to peripheral tissues - regulates blood flow to every part of the body, improves blood flow, helps to distribute nutrients to the muscles, and thus increases the strength during exercise very effectively. L-Arginine significantly helps to reduce the content of ammonia in the blood, which, among other things, causes the breakdown of proteins and cells, thus successfully contributing to inflammation.

D-Aspartic acid is one of the 21 essential amino acids found in protein chains. It plays a very important role in detoxifying the body from ammonia, which is formed in the body during extreme and long-lasting exercise. It is also a very important source of energy for muscle work at workouts over 45 minutes and with many hours (or even all-day) of exercise lasting for several days in a row. It maintains the function of intestinal cells in their ideal activity even during fluctuations in metabolism during organism overload. D-Aspartic acid is synergistic (interacts) with the amino acids L-Glutamine, L-Arginine, and L-Citrulline (it enhances their effects in reducing fatigue and regeneration).

Vitamin C: Although a dog can produce vitamin C in its body, it is only enough to cover the needs of its basic metabolic functions in a quiet lifestyle. However, if the dog is under a light exercise (e.g., training), the need for vitamin C increases, so its production is no longer sufficient for the dog. At high or extreme performance and strain, the self-production of vitamin C is significantly insufficient for the dog. It is necessary for the collagen biosynthesis, and thus for the protection of cartilage and bones. When under stress and a heavier workload, its need increases significantly. It is a powerful antioxidant and detoxifier.

Organic Magnesium: A natural source of marine magnesium synthesized in the most useful form - Magnesium hydroxide (Mg (OH) 2). 100 mg contains 35 mg of pure magnesium from 90% usable by the organism. Unlike other sources of magnesium, this type can supply the body for up to 8 hours, even during physical activity. It has a beneficial effect on the nervous and circulatory system. It reduces fatigue and exhaustion. It increases the utilization of vitamin D. Together with vitamin C, and it increases the utilization of calcium and phosphorus. It contributes to the electrolytic balance and ideal protein synthesis. It relaxes muscle tone - prevents muscle cramps from exhaustion.

Beta-glucan: The most effective natural immune stimulator. A very important element for dogs under extreme physical activity. It can solve or prevent many health problems. It very effectively and intensively supports the body's defense reactions against bacterial, parasitic, and cancer diseases. It suppresses and prevents the formation of inflammatory processes, protects the body under extensive exercise against infections - increases the immunity of weakened individuals; it is an effective overall detoxifier.

Biodox: A probiotic based on a concentrate of inactive yeasts of the Saccharomyces Cerevisiae genus. These yeasts are put into a dormant state by a special method of gradual dehydration, in which they can survive for a very long time. However, their original activity is restored once they enter the digestive tract. The positive activity of the intestinal microflora is supported - they regulate pH, help synthesize amino acids and vitamins, stimulate the immune and endocrine system, and control the occurrence of harmful and pathogenic bacteria. Biodox maintains a well-balanced intestinal microflora. It also contains a high percentage of beta-glucans, which increases the body's natural immunity and resistance to external influences.

  • For all breeds and sizes of adult, healthy dogs without allergies, diabetes, epilepsy, joint disorders, etc. The mixture - cereal protein - nor - milk sugar (some dogs are allergic to both substances). As mentioned above, fat and protein are the primary energy sources for dogs. Therefore, the High Power 4Dogs protein mix is an opportunity to prepare the dog for a high or long-lasting physical performance and increase its muscle mass at the same time. The mixture is also suitable for replenishing energy during a long-lasting race or work (longer than 90 minutes) without burdening the digestive tract with food. Little is known among breeders that not only after work/races, but also after severe operations, injuries, stress (abused animals), exhaustion, but also in the treatment of stomach or intestinal injuries, e.g., ingestion of toxic substances by a dog.

Possible uses:does not contain glutenlactose proteins are an important component in recovery
  1. 1.      High Power 4Dogs served as a dry mixture with meat and granules:

To successfully overcome a large physical load, it is necessary that the dog also has a developed muscle mass. This requires enough quality, digestible protein and an ample supply of persistent energy. A very active "dog-athlete" should have a daily intake of about 1.5 - 2 g protein/1 kg of its weight not to lose muscle but to maintain it or increase it.

Dosage when served with meat: 10% of the dry mixture from the weight of the feeding ration (e.g., 100 g/1 kg of meat). Pour the protein mixture into the meat and mix. This amount can also be added to canned meat or side dishes - cooked vegetables and pasta.

For granules with a protein content of up to 26%, add only about 5 - 8% from the weight of the feed. If the food contains 28% of protein or more, do not add Protein Mix because it would significantly increase the one-time value of protein, which the dog would not have to digest well - diarrhea and flatulence. It is then better to use High Power Dogs mixed with oil in the form of porridge and serve it to dogs 2-3 times separately between meals.

         2. High Power 4Dogs served as a high-energy porridge.

This is suitable for preparing the dog before a race - physical activity. Make the High Power 4Dogs protein mix an easily digestible energy bomb.

Preparation of porridge: Mix 100 g of protein mixture + 70 ml of oil, i.e., 1 part of protein mix with 0.7 parts of pure animal fat - salmon oil is ideal. Mix well - a smaller amount with a fork, a more considerable amount (e.g., several kg) with a stirrer on a drill (it is relatively easy), and serve to the dog separately between meals. Adjust the density by adding oil.

Dosage of porridge: Serve 100 g of porridge / 25 - 30 kg of the dog¨s weight: Dogs in regular training, used to a fatty energy diet, can handle 150 g of fat porridge at once. The dosage must be tested, and you should start with smaller doses so that the dog gets used to a high-energy diet.

Serve 2-3 times a day in the training period between meals. The interval between doses should be at least 3 hours. Give one serving to the dog in the evening. The day before the physical performance, serve the dog with the energy porridge about 2 hours before the start (but the dog must be used to the porridge beforehand). Serve when the exercise is intensive, longer than 90 minutes, whenever you anticipate beginning fatigue in dogs, after about 2-3 hours.

Energy value in 100 g of the porridge: 3.3 MJ = 789 kcal

- Energy porridge for recovery:

The preparation procedure and dosing are the same as above. Ideally, serve within 30 minutes after the end of a long-term activity (after the dog catches its breath and calms down) - mainly due to the effect of BCAA, as protection of muscle from the breakdown of AA chains to cover the lacking energy. Then once a night, for quality muscle regeneration, and once more in the morning.

When administering a protein mixture, we do not recommend combining it with nutritional supplements containing sugars. An adverse reaction of the organism, diarrhea, flatulence, etc., may occur. Serve at least 60 minutes apart.

  • Store the bulk mixture in a well-sealed, airtight PVC container, dry and cool at approx. 18°C, without sudden temperature changes - water on the walls of the bag may condense, and the mixture may become moldy.

    Storage and consumption:

It is best to use the dry protein mixture within six months of purchase at temperatures up to 20°C. When stored up to 10°C, use the mixture within ten months.

It is best to immediately consume the mixed protein and oil (energy slurry). However, if you need to make a supply for several days, put the porridge in hermetically sealed PVC boxes and store it away from temperatures above 20°C and the sunlight. Use within ca 30 days.
